How it all started... sort of.

Clifford has always loved Halloween. For as long as I can remember (all 32 years together) he would want to decorate, carve pumpkins with the kids, and dress up himself. I was the willing, supportive mother and wife... sewed costumes, carved a gazillion pumpkins with our crew over the years, and begrudgingly helped decorate and otherwise support the festivities of the beloved " Holiday Season". One, like her daddy, loves dressing up for Halloween, anime, and any reason to wear something fun and silly. Whether it's bunny ears, reindeer horns, seasonal hats, or creative costume that yours truly helps sew and design, she is always game to play, she's all in.

Four years ago, something clicked for me. When I invest in Clifford's interest and love of Halloween, then he might just enjoy my Christmas. I suggested that we shop post-Halloween sales (remember all the volumes of crazy stuff for Halloween and Christmas, the excesses of consumerism?!), and stock up for the next year to create something appropriate for the nearly 200 under 10's in our neighborhood.

And then COVID hit. No Haunted House - we were coping with the losses of people we loved and overwhelmed. We decided to do decorations as usual and wrap candy bags. Our daughter who loves Halloween and candy, decided we could make a sign (yep, she's dyslexic), hook an old-fashioned trick-or-treat pumpkin to an RC car... and we "delivered" some fun that way.
